16 months

This month flew by.  We celebrated your 2nd Christmas and New Year's and this year was much more fun.  You did such a good job opening your presents and you were actually excited about what was inside and not just the wrapping paper.  You watched daddy light the fireworks on New Year's Eve and you weren't even scared.  You loved all the Christmas lights and you kept pulling all the candy canes out of my candy cane forest in the front yard.

You just got a new tooth in the right bottom front.  Your sleeping habits are still terrible but I still attribute that to teething.  When you let us sleep, you can sleep from 9pm to 10am so we can't really complain about that.

You are saying new words left and right.  You can now say Sadie and you go around the house just calling her name all the time.  You are really falling in love with her too.  She is still tempermental but she is warming up to you too.  You can say ball, bubbles, bottle, bee, baby, mama, mommy, daddy, hi, bye, no, water, and some other words I'm forgetting.

You get so excited when we understand what you want.  You will point to your cabinet and ask for which snack you want.  You practically jump for joy when we give it to you.  You are so cute.

You like grapes, chicken, ham, tomatoes, cheese, corn, turkey, green beans, pasta, yogurt, oranges, strawberries, pineapples, pb&j sandwiches, rice cakes, puffs, yogurt melts and pouches.

We turned the sunroom in to a playroom for you and you got so excited when we showed it to you.  You are very independent but still like us to play with you.

You are still very cuddley and still give hugs and kisses, although sometimes we have to steal them now.

You still love your morning and nighttime bottle (so do I).  We have dropped one bottle during the day so now we are down to 3 a day.

You still love to read.  Even your teachers say that is your favorite thing to do at school.  You have memorized most of our books at home.  Sometimes you want us to read to you and other times you will just sit down and read to yourself.

You have learned how to use a fork and now you almost demend it when it is time to eat.  You still need help but sometimes you can do it on your own and you are so proud of yourself.

You are getting too big too fast...but I love watching it happen right in front of me everyday.
